What can I use for Psoriasis?
Psoriasis is a genetic
condition and can not be cured at present, only managed.
Psoriasis
is a chronic autoimmune condition that results in the overproduction of skin
cells. The dead cells build up into silvery-white scales in severe cases. The
skin becomes inflamed and red, causing serious itching.
Eczema in
turn is also an autoimmune condition where the skin reacts to a real or
imagined irritant and causes a low grade inflammation.
The Axhilirit Eczema regime
for psoriases is roughly the same as for eczema, with the difference that more
care should be taken to keep the skin moisturised by applying a thin layer of
Axhilirit Ointment. If the condition is severe or the skin has
deep cracks, it is advised to use the Axhilirit Eczema Oil instead of the cream, and
cover with a thin layer of Ointment until the areas have recovered enough for
the cream to be used. The sensitive skin or epidermis at the bottom of
these cracks seems to respond better to the Axhilirit Eczema Oil and Axhilirit Ointment.
Client should be aware that
the additional layers of skin will shed, and should be encouraged to do so by
keeping it moist, but to never actively try to pick or scrub it off. This will
act as an additional irritation, thus stimulating the cell production process
that is already in overdrive. Care should also be taken to continue using the
Axhilirit products for at least a week after the condition clears as this will
ensure that the condition stays dormant for longer.
